What is Alpargali water resistant grade? Other specifications?

The water resistance grade of Alpargali is 15K. Additionally, it presents a breathability of 15K and is structured with a 2-layer design. The Durable Water Repellent (DWR) functions by imitating the way water droplets gather and roll off lotus leaves. The DWR polymer coating constructs a waterproof fabric through increasing the contact angle and surface tension, and the microscopic spikes created by the chemical coating make water droplets suspend a few microns above the actual fabric surface. Small water droplets coalesce in this situation to form larger water beads, which are then pulled off the fabric surface by gravitational force. The breathable and waterproof membrane features a micropore diameter smaller than that of water molecules to block their permeation, while being larger than that of human sweat vapor. The jacket is fabricated from 100% recycled Nylon 70D with a dual-layer configuration and showcases advanced DWR Level 3 water repellency. It undergoes rigorous testing for 15,000 mmH2O waterproof and breathability standards to ensure dryness and comfort.
