All-Day Backpack (22L)

Love fold down and organization concept.

Fabric is sturdy. No hip belt, but knew that before I ordered it. Good sternum strap with adjustable location. Some of the zippers are stiff, but it's still very new. I like all the pockets.

Pros

- Excellent organization with plenty of pockets and compartments
- External: two front compartments, one top quick access, a hidden back compartment, and two side pockets
- Internal: on the back panel — a laptop pocket, a tablet pocket, and two magnetic pockets; two side pockets; on the front panel — one zip pocket and a small open pocket in the middle
- It’s worth noting that the top and front external compartments don’t have any built-in organization, though they are quite spacious. I’d have appreciated a divider in the top compartment and extra pockets in the bottom one — or even in both. Essentially, the backpack doesn’t really have a dedicated admin area where you can neatly arrange small items. The closest thing is the two magnetic pockets, but they’re at the bottom of the main compartment and become inaccessible once the bag is packed. For organizing small stuff, you’ll need additional pouches or organizers.
- Nice materials, with built-in structure: padding between compartments helps the backpack keep its shape even when only partially packed
- Comfortable pullers (though the zippers themselves are awful — see below)
- Relatively lightweight considering the volume and number of compartments (although my scale shows 100 g more than the claimed weight: 1190 g vs. the stated 1090 g)
- Comfortable fit: nothing digs in or feels awkward when worn, it sits well on the back. The shoulder straps are quite thin, but to me that doesn’t cause any discomfort — it actually feels pleasant to carry
- Horizontal luggage pass-through
- A loop on one shoulder strap for sunglasses or a carabiner, plus extra loops for attaching carabiners or cords

Cons

- Awful zippers. They’re PU-coated and in some places sewn on roughly, making them very stiff to use. Forget about opening/closing them one-handed. Even with two hands, some zippers snag in the same spots and don’t improve over time. On mine, this is especially bad on the middle front pocket — the zipper constantly catches in the center due to how it’s sewn. I managed to “tune” the other zippers to slide more smoothly, but this fix sometimes breaks down in use and I have to “free” them again. Not a dealbreaker, and you can get used to it, but at first it was a real disappointment in a new bag.
- The sternum strap has limited adjustment. For people with a smaller chest circumference, there may not be enough range for it to work properly.
- The front logo is quite prominent and stands out. I’d prefer a more subtle logo — at least in the same color as the backpack.

Neutral

- Doesn’t stand on its own securely
- The backpack has something like compression straps above the side pockets, but they’re oddly designed and not easy to use. They work better for holding tall items in the side pockets, but they’re hard to tighten, and I doubt I’ll actually use them in practice. Straps can’t be detached.
